Kween

Guelph, Ontario, Canada

She is sass, class and a whole lotta ass.

A captivating Black and East Indian burlesque performer and spoken word artist, Kween blends sensuality, storytelling, and sharp wit into performances that are both intimate and unforgettable. Inspired by the histories of Black and Brown performance art, jazz-era glamour, activism, and contemporary femme expression, their work explores identity, desire, softness, survival, and the politics of being seen.

With a voice like velvet and a stage presence that shifts effortlessly between sultry cabaret, biting humour, and poetic vulnerability, Kween creates performances that invite audiences into worlds that are lush, emotional, playful, and deeply human. Whether delivering smoky late-night monologues or hypnotic burlesque numbers steeped in cinematic atmosphere, their work honors the beauty, complexity, and power Blackness.
