The Black Burlesque Directory is a living resource created to encourage inclusive and intentionally crafted burlesque spaces.​ Rooted in the desire to see more Black performers centered on burlesque stages, this directory serves as a tool for performers, producers, costumers, educators, photographers, and beyond.

We acknowledge the complexity of identity, ethnicity, and geography. In the context of this space, Black is used as an umbrella term for folks who are Indigenous African or descendants of Indigenous Africans. The Black Burlesque Directory is evidence that Black performers have always — and will continue to — light up stages across this planet.
